CHE BEL LIBRO.

Fin dalle prime pagine mi sono sentita totalmente immersa nella storia: una storia enigmatica, particolare, violenta e dolce, che dura più di 40 anni.

Una storia di realtà o di finzione? Cosa è successo davvero durante quel fatidico anno da cui è iniziato tutto?
Non ci è dato saperlo, e probabilmente non è neanche così importante.

Una lettura davvero avvincente in cui solo una penna esperta poteva districarsi così magistralmente.
Primo libro di Auster che leggo, sicuramente non sarà l’ultimo.

Πρώτη φορά Paul Auster και δηλώνω απολυτη ικανοποίηση.
Μολις τρεις μέρες μου πήρε να διαβάσω σαν νεράκι ένα βιβλίο του γραμμένο χωρίς φλυαρία, με πυκνή ιστορία συχνά σοκαριστική κοινωνικά, δημιουργώντας μου ειλικρινή αγωνία για τους πρωταγωνιστές της ακόμα κι αν δεν δίνει (ίσως καλυτερα) όλες τις απαντήσεις μέχρι το τέλος.

Another brilliant and thought-provoking volume from Paul Auster. The shift in POVs between the three sections for the 'novel' was a nice touch, as was the introduction of the notion that our main protag was also an unreliable narrator. As usual, Auster delivers another must-read book that is modest in length but not in emotion.
