It was fine. Honestly, I can't decide if I have a lot or nothing to say about this book.

Women are hard on women.Women dislike women.”
The truth is, I often like women..
inspiring

read this book. i don’t even have words. none would ever measure up. just read this book. please.

“when, however, one reads of a witch being ducked, of a woman possessed by devils, of a wise woman selling herbs, or even of a very remarkable man who had a mother, then i think we are on the track of a lost novelist, a suppressed poet, of some mute and inglorious jane austen, some emily brontë who dashed her brains out on the moor or mopped and mowed about the highways crazed with the torture that her gift had put her to. indeed, i would venture to guess that anon, who wrote so many poems without signing them, was often a woman.”

Loved it. Can't believe I waited so long to read it. Now I just want to find a time machine so I can hang out with Virginia Woolf in a cafe, eat croque madames, and bitch about Charlotte Bronte.

“Literature is strewn with the wreckage of those who have minded beyond reason the opinion of others.”
I get it ok! I finally get what all the fuss about Virginia Woolf is about.
Highly recommend!

This was far greater than I expected it to be. This book really makes me appreciate the freedom that women have today as far as fiction, and it helped me to understand myself and my fiction a little bit better as well.
