The author has done it again, another awesome book. This is Mick and Amanda's story.
Ladies, if you love a book that is hot and steamy from the get go and doesn't let up, then you will LOVE this book.
Amanda Jenner, is tired of attracting boring men. She is finally ready to take more risks and date other people. But that means putting on a mask and going out to seduce a stranger. For her first time, I’d say Amanda gets lucky because she gets a hook on Mick, an entertainment attorney and her boss. Things get hot and heavy instantly but before they can go all the way, Mick suddenly realizes that it’s Amanda. He pulls back, not wanting to make a mistake but his lust continues to ride him hard.
Mick Bad (he’s so bad in all the right ways) isn’t looking for a permanent relationship. Heck, he isn’t looking for anything close to one at all. But coming across Amanda ignites all his buried desires. Mr. Bad is in a really tough place. Does he cross the line with his employee? Can he have Amanda and walk away?
If you have read Wild Boys Heath you would have meet Amanda's sister Ally. I’m definitely looking forward to reading about the other bad boys!

Phew--quite the change from Ms. Foster's "usual" books--that I've read so far, anyway; a definite ramping up on the steam factor. Not that I'm complaining :)
I liked both Amanda and Mick quite a bit, and believed in their relationship from the beginning...though it's kind of a stretch to believe that they'd work so closely together for three years and not realize that the other had the hots for them...but okay, I'm willing to suspend belief. They were totally adorable during their weekend together, except when they were being totally hot (the book did kind of have a schizophrenic feel to it, as if it sometimes couldn't decide if it wanted to be sweet or steamy), and I really, really wanted them to get to their HEA.
Though perhaps not as much of an HEA as they did, or as quickly. Mick's reason for not wanting to have a relationship was on the weak side, and he did get over it fairly easily, but still. Even with the knowing each other for three years and all, the events of the last chapter happened awfully fast. (And the freckle obsession? What was up with that?) But I digress....
Overall, an entertaining read with enjoyable characters. I'm definitely looking forward to seeing what Mick's three brothers have to bring to future books.

In an anonymous masked club, they meet. It isn't until he sees that tiny trio of freckles on her hand that he knows who she really is. He's wanted her for three years. One night is all he'll give her so he can get her out of his system. Okay, maybe one weekend. He's sure that it will be enough. She's lying if she thinks one weekend will be enough for her. She's wanted Mick for quite some time now. He's her boss. Can she sleep with him and go back to seeing him every day at work and never speak of their secret weekend again? Will her heart survive? He'll never believe in HEA's and will never forgive himself for not being able to keep an impossible promise to his dying eight-year-old little sister.
Mick Bad has stolen my heart. This is book one in the Bad Boys After Dark series and it stars power attorney, Mick Bad and his paralegal, Amanda Jenner. Melissa Foster definitely knows how to write her perfectly imperfect, tortured, sexy Bad boy. I am literally on the edge of my seat, scrambling to read more from this amazing author. The stories and characters are brilliant and captivating and progress so well that it's like a movie playing in my head. I loved it! I can't wait to read about Dylan.

Review: Bad Boys After Dark (Mick) Oh, My! What can I say? There is only one way I can think to describe this book. Hot! Hot! Hot! This was an exciting and hot read. From the moment I began reading, I was pulled into the story. I could not wait to see how the events would unfold. Be warned, read this novel at your own risk. Be prepared to be taken on a hot, sweet and exciting ride. Make sure you have a bowl of ice nearby because you will definitely need to cool down after reading this.
This story was nothing less than what I have come to expect from Melissa Foster. When I am in need of a story that is hot, sizzling and laced with a hint of sweetness, she is the author I draw on to get my fix. I try not to miss out on the opportunity to read her books.
The characters were endearing, I could not get enough of them. I liked Amanda’s determination and her willingness to go after what she wants. She is tired of attracting what she considers to be dull and boring men. She decides that the only way she can do this was if she released her inner temptress. Armed with her ammunition “The Handbook: The Art of Seduction” she sets out to reel in the perfect man to practice her seduction on. Unbeknown to her the man that she would ultimately reel in was none other than her boss, the man she has been crushing for close to three years, Mick Bad.
There is only one word that can aptly describe Mick Bad, and that is mesmerizing. The man was just oozing sex appeal. I can clearly understand why Amanda was so into him. When Mick found what Amanda was up to he was taken aback. He didn’t like the idea of her trying to seduce a stranger, and so he made her an offer that would allow her to fuel two of greatest desires.
“Tonight I’m not your boss, Amanda. Tonight I’m your stranger.” He slid his hand over the top of her thigh, grazing his fingertips along the crease just beside her sex. “One night of pleasure. A fantasy. No strings. No regrets.” He brushed his lips over hers and pressed a kiss to the corner of her mouth. “Just one night, and we’ll never speak of it again.”
But will one night be enough or will it leave them craving for more?
Mick was afraid to fall in love. For that matter, he didn’t believe that love would last forever. He felt that eventually, the ones you love will abandon you. This fear stemmed from an incident in his past where he had experienced a devastating loss. As such he had difficulty reconciling his feelings for Amanda. Their chemistry was off the charts. The story moved along quickly, there was never a dull moment.
This is the first book in the ‘Bad Boys After Dark series. It is a great start to the series and I can’t wait to get my hands on book two. I would definitely recommend this to readers who love their romance hot and spicy.

If you enjoyed any or all the author's Wild Boys Series; Logan, Heath, Jackson & Cooper, you'll love this Bad Boy: Mick.
Entertainment attorney Mick Bad doesn't do relationships. A masquerade bar crawl is a perfect way to find his latest hook-up, only the evening acts as a catalyst for an unexpected life changing direction with a woman he's secretly lusted after for three years.
Paralegal Amanda Jenner's exhausted from attracting the wrong men...dull, not only in personality but in bed too! After doing research on how to find her inner sexy and seduce a man, she decides a masquerade bar crawl is a perfect way to try out and hone her new found skills. She targets a drop dead gorgeous male, only the outcome of their meeting has far-reaching consequences she never dreamed possible.
Mick is 100% alpha. He oozes charm and is a very smooth communicator. He's confident, but not arrogant so he's the perfect guy for Amanda to practice on. Mick's attention to detail and observation skills are second to none, despite Amanda's bravado, he sees she's naive, shy and inexperienced, so exudes patience and kindness to build the trust between himself and this woman he's wanted for so long. The result? Amanda's newfound confidence creates boldness as she turns the tables and becomes the temptress making Mick realise that there isn't any valid reason for them not to be together.
The timeline for the novel is very short yet Amanda and Mick's relationship is palpable. After working closely together for three years, they are as close as two people can be without sexual closeness. Once that last essential link's made, there's no doubting that they are meant to be together.
Ms. Foster's storytelling, as I've come to expect is first class, with multifaceted protagonists and secondary characters that make you want to read about them too...hello Dylan! If you like your romance novels served hot and extra spicy, you'll love this new series.
