Events just happen with nothing connecting them, making this feel like less of a story than a rough and weak story outline. Pictures are simplistic and fairly boring for the adult reading it to the children. It looks as though the absolute minimum of effort has been expended in making this book. However the colors are bold enough and the subject matter (aliens! PAW Patrol!) exciting enough to hold the attention of some two and three year-old minds. But seek out better books if you can.

I *hate* the Paw Patrol, but my son loves them. This was very clearly an episode that was cut down to a simple book. Alas, my son asks for a re-read frequently.

Reading this book feels like fast-forwarding through a TV episode, randomly hitting pause, and trying to put together the plot from those disconnected images. Perhaps a familiarity with the characters going in might help join it up a little, but I worry that this sort of book won't help foster a love of reading in those just starting out.
