This book reminds me of my play mom/boss thru out high school and college. she was this latina import that i love dearly and she'd tell me similar stories told in this book.

plus there's this amazing character "yolanda" whose relationship stories are painfully honest and beautiful. you know me..i love beautiful pain ; )

Started this book for a college course and didn't have time to finish it before midterm.

This book was light on plot and heavy on character development and relationships, which is usually a plus for me. The problem was that there were so many characters that I lost track of some of the stories and who was who.
