I’m hoping this is more of what Ms. Hallett’s books are like (as opposed to The Twyford Code). This novella takes place among The Fairway Players, a village actors group whom I assume was the focus of The Appeal. Small mysteries, glimpses of village life, and how to put on a Christmas pantomime British style is on display in this delightful slice o’ life. Oh, and yes, there is a mystery. But it’s so much more fun for you to read about it.

Fun to revisit the fairway players and meet some new characters as well - great little christmas read that continues what was so brilliantly started in The Appeal.
This is a quick read. The entire book is a collection of emails, text messages and occasionally, conversation bubbles. There are a lot of characters to keep track of. A few characters really grind the nerves but we all know people like that. I got this from the library not realizing it was a sequel, but it stands well on its own.

Nowhere near as good as “The Appeal”, but was so fun to visit these characters again!
I absolutely adored The Appeal and was so excited to get back to Lower Lockwood and to see what’s going on with the characters.
I love the community that the author has created, it was good catching up with the originals and meeting some new additions.
Again we have all different formats of communications. which I thoroughly enjoy , especially Celia’s follow up emails!
