A nice cozy mystery. While I didn't love The Appeal, it was really nice to revisit with the characters over the holidays. I wish Hallett had leaned more into the Christmas season aspect (every community theater has to do A Christmas Carol ffs). The ending, however, was kind of a dud even though a lot of the novella was fun.
