This has been my favorite in the series thus far, which is saying a lot because I’ve really enjoyed the 2 before this one! I’m such a Tracy Crosswhite stan at this point and never thought I’d be so into a crime drama series before. This book really explores the disgusting ability of white privilege to sweep crime under the rug and the importance of justice for all humans as well as the mistreatment, racism, and otherwise neglect of crimes committed against indigenous peoples. There are two homicides explored in this book, one from the past and one from the present, each captivating, complex, and horrific. I loved the exploration of each, the parallels across them and the thread the connected them both. I even got emotional towards the end. This book was so moving and I’m so excited to keep listening to the audiobooks!
