I got an ARC through the Goodreads giveaway. This was an excellent read. The portrayal of Josie as a parentified child was well done. And the chemistry between Josie and Lucky was good; I’m always a sucker for childhood friends or best-friends-to-lovers stories. The main reason why I gave this a 4 instead of a 5 star review is because I felt like Starry Eyes was better. But that’s because Starry Eyes is my favorite Jenn Bennett book. Chasing Lucky just didn’t hit me as hard but was still well worth reading.

jenn bennett is lovingly consistent. she has a formula and it works!!! she writes incredibly real characters and conflicts, the conflict resolution and communication, especially with teenagers is ALWAYS appreciated. Her plots are always so unique and intriguing. 🤞 Such a tender romance and cute characters. love love love always

Na třetí knihu Jenn Bennett jsem se těšila. Čekala jsem podobnou pecku jako Kudy ke hvězdám, ale opět jsem zklamaná (stejně jako u Na jedné vlně).

Přezdívka hlavní hrdinky Josie mě štvala. Za mě má "fotocvok" k roztomilosti opravdu daleko.

Celkově mi kniha přišla naprosto o ničem. Čekala jsem trochu větší tajemství nebo aspoň zajímavější zápletku. Nezaujala mě žádná z postav a romantická linka byla příliš slabá.

Byla to nuda. Pokud někdy vyjde další kniha od autorky, rozhodně si dobře promyslím, jestli ji dám šanci.

3.5! this was really cute it felt a lot like gilmore girls, esp with the relationship between josie and her mom, her mom and her grandma, and josie and her grandma. the family relationships were very similar and very cute and it was just a fun read
