This is an easy read, feel good YA romance. I finished this book in less than a day, and it was very hard to put down! It is kind of a friends to lovers trope, and including a lot of family drama.
This book gave me so much nostalgia. I did, too, have a boy best friend growing up. And we, too, had a falling out. We have not managed to reconnect like Josie and Lucky, and was therefore a bit sad and hard for me to read. Otherwise, this was a very feel-good book, that explores a good and pretty healthy relationship between two teenagers. They have honest communication and are very open with each other.
