Half way through I was thinking, "cool, at last a novel set in the 60s and early 70s with no glaring anachronisms, no one saying "Get a life!" or humming a Taylor Swift song." About 2/3s through I realized that the reason for that is that the book is pretty generic in generational markers and dialog, with not much beyond a few references to anchor it to that period in time. In fact, it could have been-- and might have been better -- set in the 90s/2000s. I found that, ...disappointing.

On the other hand, the puzzle was fun, the whodunnit was not glaringly obvious. 2.5

not usually a big fan of multiple perspectives or time jumps but this was a very enjoyable read overall.
there’s a LOT going on though. multiple mysteries. be prepared and dial it in.

Suchhhh a good mystery/thriller. Dual point of view was used sooo well here, I was on the edge of my seat and the switch between characters kept me even more riveted. So good to read most of this @ a real summer camp too! Need this to be a mini-series.

Set in the 1970s with some flashbacks. A complex cast of characters, both in volume and depth. I did not figure this mystery out, although I had several guesses throughout. I think it could have been a bit more concise, but overall an enjoyable read! I will definitely be going and reading her other book.
