Luna is a woman who has lost a lot in her life. First her family died in a car crash, then her fiance left her in front of the altar (actually in front of the church) and now she can't seem to come up with an idea for her new novel. To escape everything she lost, she decides to move to Ondingside, a small Island close to the coast of Scotland. She plans to keep to herself and just concentrate on writing her book, when she meets charming Beau. Each day they get a little closer, but Ondingside is a magical place and it seems that they are stuck in time.

I was excited to read this book, because it seemed like a casual romance novel for inbetween. But after a few chapters I got confused. At first I thought it might be a "50 First Dates" kind of story, but it wasn't. I never really got warm with the main characters and even though Beau seemed like a sweet guy, he was missing personality. I was especially confused with the short changing POV's at the beginning of each chapter. Sometimws the scenes where changing to fast, whereas other times I skipped some pages, because it almost felt like I was stuck in time too.

I think the overall idea of the story was actually pretty good, but the implementation could have been better.

Not sure how I feel about this one. The blurb makes no mention of a weird supernatural feel to the whole thing so it’s not what you’re expecting as a genre. Pleased to see a book that doesn’t have a wonderful happy ending though - that seems rare!

I honestly don't really know what to make of this book. I loved the general idea but then there were so many twists that I didn't know what direction it was taking anymore. Not even sure if that's a good or bad thing. All I can say is that I was well entertained and it was just an easy, relaxing read!

This is such a wonderful little romance story with so much more to offer. It felt like the romance was really more a side story and discovering herself was more the goal. I do think a different ending would’ve been better, I‘m a little heartbroken of how are things left. But all in all I enjoyed it so much it gives a magical vibe and all the snow thats falling is creating a wonderful christmas spirit.

i finished this book the other day and i have not stopped thinking about it. this book is in no means perfect but oh my gosh i loved this book so much. but also hated the ending but that’s because it made me so emotional. i wish that it ended differently because it hurt so much. why carrie, just why.
