too sad

Simple book about a boy and his Fox. Very emotional and at times sad as both emotional come to age.

3.5 I think there is often a problem for me when a book has rave reviews. My expectations are heightened and I am often disappointed.

This was a nice story. I liked the relationship between the boy and the woman he encounters. But the story was predictable for me. I think some students might like this a great deal. I just know that there are books (like The War That Saved My Life) that are as amazing to me as they are to the students. This one was good, just not amazing as I had hoped.

emotionally destroyed. almost crying. will never be the same again. this book is what Willard! by will wood feels like. processing the ending. reading pax is what listening to Willard! by will wood for the first timw feels like.

there is nothing like the relationship between a child and their animal best friend.

A beautiful book about anger, peace, love, and loyalty. About forgetting who you are and the journey to claim your true self. Carefully (and tightly) plotted and told from Peter's POV and the respectful and behaviorally-based POV of his fox PAX. Really well done! This is a book an 11-year old will read now and enjoy (maybe even shed a tear at) now and then read again at 21 and say, "Oh my God I had no idea how deep this book was!"

I can not read a book about a boy losing his fox rn

I devoured this, read it in about 3 sittings. Sadder and fiercer than I was expecting. A treat

I read with Elliot before bed and he really got into it. I want to know what happens next!
