This book felt very repetitive once I hit the halfway mark. It could have easily been compressed into 300ish pages. I enjoyed it here and there but in the end it really was a mission to finish it.

There were parts of this book that were interesting. I liked it for what it was, but I wouldn’t say it’s something I would reread. I didn’t feel a connection with all of the main male characters. I liked Diesels character and background story but wasn’t crazy about his intimate scenes. There was definitely a lot of traumatic events covered that could be triggering as well. I’m not sure something just felt off for myself like maybe I needed more to the plot and there was a lot going on, but I’d still say for dark romance it’s a 3 star read.🤷🏻‍♀️

I already love dark romance, why choose, and enemies to lovers; but it’s typically in paranormal or romantasy. I was skeptical of seeing these elements work in a mafia romance, but damn K. A. Knight blew it out of the water. The elements go together so well and though they may not have any paranormal or supernatural results, each Viper had their own unique set of skills. I also loved the way each Viper had their own dynamic relationship with Roxy but they also had their moments as a group.
