This book was totally fine, charming at times, but then that effing ending happened and it was like almost feeling betrayed. It felt completely unnecessary and out of nowhere. Like why??? Also as a side commentary: the book keeps harping on and on about the protagonist age and it’s like we get it, she’s not 20 but it felt at one point redundant to keep insisting that this woman is old, which as someone only 3 years younger than her, was like seriously aggravating. Anyway, this book was fine and well written until the very end and then it wasn’t.
