Thank you NetGalley and the publishers for the opportunity to read and review the ARC in exchange for my honest opinion.
A medium, an ex boyfriend rival, a one eared dog named Lestat, and a ghostly mystery. Ghostbusters meets Scooby Doo in this cozy mystery about a woman starting her own ghost banishing business and hired to remove ghosts from a grand home. Of course it won’t come easy. I thought this was really fun and cute. Lots of moments that had me giggling. I can’t wait to continue this series!

The book was a perfect Bridget Jones and Meg Cabot style rom-com with a compelling love triangle. The book very fun, great side characters and a fun family. Can’t wait for the sequel.

Thank you to NetGalley, the publishers and author for an advanced copy of this book,Crazy Spooky Love by Josie Silver.
This was a fun read. Laugh out loud funny, quirky and sweet. I liked the main character, her best friend and their sidekick. The plot held my interest through out. I did feel the last 10% of the book was rushed. Also I was really annoyed that there was no resolution with the love interest. Why introduce a love interest at all then? There should have a least been an epilogue.
3.5⭐️
This gave me kinda of a Scooby-Doo type of vibes in romcom format and I loved it. Melody Bittersweet is a medium and she is now 27. All the women in her life have big events or are established by 27. Now she is starting her own business because she isn’t in a relationship or having kids. Her first job is to clear out a mansion that only to find out that the ghosts there won’t move on until a murder is solved.
In the end we have a love triangle murder mystery solving romcom that was funny and I just genuinely enjoyed my time with. Melody Bittersweet is a character that is more on the sassier side. Doesn’t take anything from any of the guys, be it the ex or the reporter, Fletch, I also like that she has a big heart and took in Artie. I really am looking forward to the next book. I luckily have it already and am going to start it because I really just really enjoyed the mystery solving and romcom put together without the suspense of it behind a thriller.
Thank you to Dell for the complementary copy. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Thanks to Netgalley and Ballantine for this ARC!
This was a lot of fun. I really liked the ghosts in this one and the way that Melody could see them. I liked Marina and Artie. I liked the mystery part of it. The romance part wasn't for me and the humor takes some getting used to (but of you like Stephanie Plum you will like it). I enjoyed this one.

📣 Melody Bittersweet can see dead people. Now she’s going to help solve cases involving them 🕵🏻♀️.
Thanks to the publisher & Netgalley for the complimentary ARC. All opinions provided are my own.
Melody comes from a matriarchal line of ghost-seers. That doesn’t mean she’s always on board with what they do, though 🙅🏻♀️.
At the beginning of the book she decides to start her own PI company; she’ll help solve cases involving ghosts with the help of her sassy bestie.
This is such a fun, quick read. Would you believe that it even has a love triangle (square?) of sorts & I was okay with it? Mostly because it’s not too serious. No angst in sight.
The historical mystery Melody is solving had my interest. Crazy Spooky Love gave me the easy, breezy lighthearted + ghosties & murder vibes I wanted.

Such a funny, addictive read. It's quirky so you've got to just go along with the fact that yes, Melody can see the dead, and yes, ghosts exist, but it works fabulously to make such a loveable set of characters (love Melody, Marina, Artie and Fletch) I think it would definitely appeal to fans of Cecelia Ahern and Julia Williams with the supernatural element but also the great prose and comical banter of Mhairi McFarlane and Lindsey Kelk . A weird but wonderful mix of supernatural humour (can we make that a genre!?), history, passion and tragedy you can't put down.
I can't wait to read more from this special set of characters and to see how certain plots develop in to the next book promised in this series. Hurrah!!
Thank you to Kitty French and Bookouture for an advanced copy to review.

It was totally inoffensive and palatable.
Easy read, nice cleanser after a few heavy hitters - although I will say the FMC is a little ‘who said, I can’t wear my converse, with my dress.’
I expect spice in upcoming books.
