A refreshing romance with a completely unpredictable main character - but it definitely kept the plot interesting.

For me this book was slightly better than the average shifter book I read.

I didn't like that the omega character fell squarely in the tough, don't try me trope. I've seen it before and its tired.

Overall a fast paced, enjoyable listen if you're in the mood. The plot is a bit formulaic and I would have liked to see more of what the characters were feeling/thinking.

No emotional or relationship drama. When they got together that was it.

TLDR: OK

This was a fun and quick read. I loved that we finally got to see River find his mate and realize that he didn’t have to change himself for that to happen. I also loved that this focused on Vasily and River building the foundations of their relationship on respect (and the fact they find each other super cute). I also loved that River just sort of adopted Vasily’s son as his own right away. I also liked that River was total badass with the whole vigilante justice thing.

I think the only thing that I didn’t like about this book was that there seemed to be a few places where things just kind of skipped around or where things were mentioned out of the blue? It kind of felt like a few pages got cut that weren’t supposed to be. 🤷‍♀️

Overall, this was a super enjoyable and fast read. I loved that we get more of this world and it’s shifter politics. This one is getting a solid 3.75 stars and I can’t wait to read the next one!

He mob meets STAPH

Vasily's son is kidnapped. River charges in to help his mate and things go to heck. So much action and so many agents involved it's so much fun!

This series is the embodiment of a guilty pleasure read for me.
It's definitively not the greatest thing out there but Kirt Graves + the fact it's addictive, cute and sweet make it an enjoyable read!
