Even though the sailing chapter was not the most believable, it was my favourite storyline with a full loop.

I really enjoyed reading the personal conflicts of all the characters, especially the perspectives of Trelawney and his father regarding the ackee tree incident as well as the mother and father’s individual perspectives towards their split.

The first half of the story was heartbreaking, gripping and tragic while the second half lost me a little, maybe because the characters had already given up themselves. it all felt like a tragedy playing out.
