Es como todo muy cute y pastel y tierno(?
Igual, todavia no estoy muy segura de lo que pienso de los personajes. Pero tengo en claro que Lara Jean me cae mucho mejor que la protagonista de The summer i turned pretty (mism autora)

Bästa comfort bok.

Very cute light read

4/5 The queen of fake dating trope

To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before is like a warm hug. It’s comforting and sweet without ever losing sincerity.

Lara Jean prefers to keep her romances strictly fictional, burying her head in books but running away from anything too real. However, she is forced into reality when the love letters she wrote to her previous crushes get sent out. They were meant to be just a simple way of gaining closure but now she’s forced to confront the boys who are now all too aware of her previous love sickness. Including her sister’s just turned ex-boyfriend Josh, otherwise known as the boy Lara Jean is still in love with. Of course, the only solution to prevent Josh ever confronting her is to, naturally, fake date Peter Kavinsky, the cocky lacrosse player that is constantly on and off with her toxic childhood best friend.

The Characters

Lara Jean is a perfectionist and an awkward mess. She wasn’t the most relatable character for me but it was impossible not to love her.

Peter Kavinsky is the boy everyone accidentally crushes on. He’s funny and charming but genuinely sweet at the core.

The Plot & The Romance

Fake Dating is one of my favourite tropes even if it is unrealistic. The pining is unmatched and the genuine friendship and respect that builds up before attraction even begins makes it one of a kind.

I loved how much they brought in Lara Jean’s dynamic with her family as well. The story wasn’t just about the two love interests getting together but finding the balance between family and relationships and Lara Jean’s struggle with being more than just a diligent sister and daughter.

This book is one of my favourites. It’s comforting and genuine. However, my one complaint is once the feelings between Peter and Lara Jean are admitted, the plot takes a rush to the end. For me, it left the book feeling incomplete when it felt so smoothly plotted before.
