The story and writing style of this book was maxing and i would love to read some more from this author. The reason why i give this book a lower ranking is because it took me a while to get through, despite it being short. I just did not find myself excited to read this book. There were some unexpected twists, but most things played out as expected.
The first three chapters had me hooked—but it quickly took a nosedive. The constant flashbacks pulled me out of the story every single time 😡. With so many books and so little time, I had to call it. DNF at 35%.
That said, after sitting on my physical TBR for over a year, I’m at least glad I finally gave it a shot.
Bill is faced with a terrible dilemma. Neither option is thinkable. This is a very intense book with likable, relatable characters. I wouldn’t suggest reading it on a flight , but otherwise I highly recommend!
