This was intense. But the way it was written really made you feel like you were on the plane. Enjoyable but not amazing. (Audiobook)

When I first started this book, it was such a slow read for me that I put it down and almost DNFed. I eventually came back and am glad I did because it got better around chapters 8 and 9, which is close to where I had stopped reading. The pace picked up, the story felt more dynamic and engaging, and it felt like it flowed at a compelling enough pace that it went from slow read to page turner. As worth her other books, this gave me a greater level of insight and appreciation for flight crews than I had before. But, of her 3 books, this is my least favorite because, for me, it took longer to feel invested and want to read the story than her other 2 books.

I have too much common sense to believe this story. I didn't find this book enjoyable.

So, I want to write this review in rebuttal to the reviews of being a mediocre story line.. My question to you is, when you read the synopsis, what did you think this was going to be? What did you want different?

Thrilling as it was, it felt like Falling was written with Big Screen in mind. It read more like a movie script than a book.
The premise was good but some scenes felt OTT like the World Series players one. Also the motivations of the terrorists were a let down.
