I get why people like it but even for a girl who loves a book with no plot, this felt so slow. And I get it, this guy’s job was just writing books and professing his obsession with Milena and there wasn’t the internet back then, etc.

Letters to Milena was an intimate, and at times, a heartbreaking read that allowed readers to explore a vulnerable and passionate side of Kafka. The only downside is that Milena’s correspondence was lost, so it felt a bit awkward to read at first. After finishing, it made me wish for a time where letters were more commonplace as they truly are a beautiful way to communicate and immortalize both your thoughts and feelings.
