This is absolutely nothing against the book, in fact I found it really interesting. That being said this is so graphic and disturbing reading about graphic details of childhood sexual abuse that I just can’t stomach it at this point in time. Maybe I’ll pick this up again in the future.

it starts out a bit slow but this is a great and shocking memoir. if you are interested in cults and survivor stories, you should definitely read. it gave similar feelings of pride as educated when you read about faith overcoming childhood obstacles and finding success later in life. i am off to google search everything about this inspiring woman and the children of god

The pacing and storytelling was a little off for me, but I am glad I read this memoir, and I could tell it was important to the author that she share her experience.
