4.0

Similar to the Autumn Cthulhu, Come October is an anthology exploring the decay and quietude of fall. Some authors in this collection interpret this theme through the lens of monster fiction, others through melancholy and loss and grief. Some choose to keep the fiction closer to the Weird whereas others do straight up horror/pulp. It's a testament to Muller's skills as editor to choose such a wide variety of stories without ever losing sight of the organizing principle. Highlights include David Peak's stupendous bit of weird fiction and Patrick Barb's nasty bit of pulp. Highly recommended even if one or two stories, which I won't name, are bad.
