I enjoyed A Little Bit Sinful, the second book in Robyn DeHart's 'Forbidden Love' series.
Clarissa Kincaid has always tried to live her life as a proper young lady, attempting to maintain standards set by her late sister-in-law who was like a mother to her. But by being the perfect young lady, she suppresses her true self, the passionate and intelligent nature that Justin sees lurking beneath the polished surface.
Clarissa is so determined to marry George (based on a brief observation before her sister-in-law died) who seems to be the perfect gentleman, that she's blinded to his true nature and just how perfect Justin could be for her! Her naivety is equal parts endearing and frustrating, I just wanted her to open her eyes and not ruin her own life accidentally, but you can't really blame her either.
Justin is a fabulous hero. He was born a bastard and doesn't know who his true mother is. He's been brought up on the fringes of society and understands only too well that he doesn't truly belong there. He's very honourable, and a true gentleman- no matter the circumstances of his birth. He tries to stay away from Clarissa despite the pull he feels towards her, because he doesn't think he'll ever be good enough for her. And any hero who's described as looking like a pirate is fine by me!
I think Justin brings out the best in Clarissa, and they have a passionate and sweet romance. It's a fairly quick read but it doesn't detract from the story and is well-paced.
Overall, a sweetly sinful story that'll keep you engaged and delighted!
I received a review copy from the publisher, for an honest review.

A little bit sinful is full of genuine charm, emotion, and plot twists. Clarissa Kincaid is the heroine of this novel. She is bright, adventurous, and determined to marry George Wilbanks. She turns to Justin Rodale to help her with financial affairs and affairs of the heart. Justin is a friend of Clarissa's brother, Marcus. Justin finds himself strongly attracted to Clarissa and while Clarissa shares the attraction she is determined to wed George.
At the point where Clarissa knows George's kisses do not make her feel the same way that Justin's kisses make her feel I thought she would come to her senses and pursue Justin. However, Clarissa has the voice of society and family in her head telling her who would make a good match for her and Justin's name is not included on the list. Clarissa previously made a mistake and chose the wrong suitor and so she is afraid that she is unable to make good choices and even at the risk of making a fool of herself she follows others' advice. This was a historical romance but being that I am a Southern girl this theme of following the dictates of society and marrying who you are 'supposed' to marry without real regard to love resonates with me. Clarissa employs some extreme methods to get her man in the face of all out opposition. Poor Justin defends her at every opportunity while pining for her to return his feelings and just when things seem as if they can get no worse Justin steps in to save the day.
Justin is in the top 5 on my book husband/boyfriend list. He is honorable, longsuffering, heroic, handsome, a considerate lover, and he is honest. He genuinely wants only the best for Clarissa and will stop at nothing to help her with all of her shenanigans. I absolutely adored him. I loved Clarissa's character because she really was clueless and innocent. She couldn't seem to help but get herself into sticky situations, but she never backed down from a challenge. This kept her character from being overwhelmingly annoying. This was a sweet, spicy read with memorable characters and interesting plot twists.

A Little Bit Sinful is the second book in Robyn DeHart's Forbidden Love series. I would not usually read a series out of order, but I received an early copy of this book. It certainly reads well as a stand alone novel, but I will surely be reading A Little Bit Wicked, the first book in the series.
DeHart presents us with seduction, scandal, romance, desire and passion. It is a fast read with characters that you are sure to fall in love with. Justin Rodale is strong, passionate and a true gentelman even if he is the bastard son of a Duke. Clarissa Kincaid is a proper, intelligent, sneaky, determined young lady of the ton. The sexual tension and chemistry of these two had me staying up much later than I should as I could not wait to read more!
