 The absolute plummet in quality this book took compared to the last two was so incredibly disappointing... The plot holes were glaringly obvious, and the pacing was straight up bad. Characters who I used to like got more annoying, the magic got more confusing, and plot threads ended in super unsatisfying ways. The only character I liked consistently start to finish was Ekon. There was still so much I adored about this series. The creatures depicted were incredibly cool, and I like the magic system (in theory). And Ekon!! The portrayal of anxiety was so important to me. But god was this ending disappointing. :(
