I'm disappointed to see that this series is over! I really enjoyed how each book in the series had a different perspective.

I related to coco's character a lot. Coco's questions about life are how a lot of people my age feel. I really enjoyed her story and loved that, in the end, she stood up for herself and made a change for her life.

I hope that Gemma Burgess will change her mind and decide to write books about Madeleine and Julia! I'd love to see the story from their perspectives.

Addictive story about friendship and first love with characters you’ll love spending time with.

Brooklyn Girls is a modern chick-lit adventure about an eclectic group of girls trying to make it alone in the city that offers something for everyone to relate to. For me it was a much-needed guilty pleasure that had me smiling from ear-to-ear. I miss escaping to Brooklyn and hanging out with these realistic, delightfully flawed and unashamedly honest girls already.

One of the great things about this book for me was that it is perfect for the older end of the YA-loving spectrum. The girls are in their early twenties so just a bit older than your usual YA characters, but the overall feel and tone of the book was very much appealing to YA fans like me. It’s so addictive, and I could not stop giggling.

It does mean that there is a lot of sex and swearing in this novel, but it’s realistic rather than unnecessary and in typical YA form you’ll be spared the details (this is no 50 Shades).

Stupidly, I didn’t realise that this was book three in a series, but the good news is each novel can be read as a standalone. I think I gave myself a few spoilers for the first two books by reading Coco’s story, but I can’t wait to delve back into this story and get to know these characters better.

There is only thing in my mind atm, when the next book comes out, even tough it might be about Julia and i don't like her that much :D But I loved little miss Coco and honestly anything I could write wouldn't do this book justice so I'm just gonna add one quote that sums up my feelings.

““You don’t need to rush,” Samantha says slowly. “You know, your generation of women experiences incredibly high levels of stress and anxiety. You all feel a huge pressure to succeed, without knowing what success even means for you, personally . . . And success is personal. There’s no one-size-fits-all. And to make it worse, you’ve got all this information at your fingertips, you know? The Internet and social media mean you’re overinformed, overfocused, and overpressured to achieve your goals. But it’s not easy to achieve your goals. It’s not even easy to decide what your goals are.””

Coco mi ako hlavná postava absolútne nesadla. Neskutočne ma rozčuľovalo, aká je blbá a ako mala všetko na dosah ruky a nevidela to.
Najslabší diel, ale aj tak som rada, že som ho čítala. A Rookhaven mi bude chýbať.
Ale aj tak si myslím, že táto kniha mala byť radšej o Maddie :D

I've been a big fan of Gemma Burgess since I picked up A Girl Like You a few years ago, so I was eagerly anticipating the newest addition to her Brooklyn Girls' series, The Wild One. It lived up to all my expectations of a Burgess novel: it was funny and heart-warming, unerringly relatable and wonderfully poignant. The Wild One was a fantastic installment to the series, and I think my favorite yet thanks to the story of Coco learning how to stand on her own two feet as an adult.

This book was way better than I thought it would be. It really was this journey of how a girl becomes a young adult and at times it was reaaally relatable haha. It was also fun as hell because the other characters were so damn interesting and the book was paced really well. Great poolside read!

First book I’ve ever read. It is special to me... I was new to the book community and didn’t even notice this was book #3 but it doesn’t matter... still really good. When I get the chance, I’ll like to read the others.

One of the nicest books this year, utterly relatable and endearing.
Found interesting how similar the main character and I are, hopeful and funny and lovely.
