God, I adore this book. Jenna and Adrienne are one of my all time favorite couples and they own a little bit more of my heart every time I reread this.

This was about two women who want to be successful actors and they fall in love and they fall out of love and they become successful actors and they fall back in love. Conflicts rarely lasted longer than a chapter. This is a book to read when another book you're reading repeatedly hammers dull nails into your skull.

It's a romance and romances are feel-good. This might be the first straight romance novel I've read. Nifty. And by straight I mean it's only a romance. Not romance-supernatural or romance-scifi. They're lesbians. And are they ever lesbians. Three-star lesbians.

Cute—nothing super special but a nice easy read with HEA. Always a fan of romance in the movie+theater industry but usually hate the paparazzi, so it was nice that the paparazzi barely existed in this book.

Waiting in the Wings is just wow! I enjoyed this novel so much! Although you can tell this was Melissa Brayden's debut novel, it was still expertly written! I have read literally hundreds of books, many by good authors, but Melissa's writing in her debut novel was easily better than three-quarters of them! I loved the characters of Jenna and Adrienne. However, it was clear that Melissa tried to make them as human as possible, and at times it worked and at others, I was sitting, thinking "you are allowed to be angry!". The love story between Jenna and Adrienne was just darling! The way they came to love each other and the complications they faced were beautiful. The flash-forward was fun and exciting and I enjoyed having a large section of the novel further in time. I came to love the characters and cheer them on so seeing how much they had grown was just fabulous! If you like a beautifully written love story, you will most likely love this one!

I have come to (reluctantly) accept that sapphic is a genre that I truly enjoy. It's my weekend guilty pleasure to read, staying up late and spending the rest of the day in bed consumed by a book. Waiting in the Wings is clearly one of the reasons why. It was super cute, charming, it filled me with longing. It reminded me of those 90s sitcom, but in book form and with women. This was a nice fix to get me in the mood for the week ahead, although as I said, I'm now filled with some longing.

Slow burn, second chance romance with people making rational choices at the time. Lovely.

I loved it! I love the setting of broadway/musical theatre - it just so happens to be one of my favorite things. The only thing I didn't like was the lack of importance the girls seemed to place on their careers. The book didn't let them enjoy having great jobs, and there is some guilt tripping that made me uncomfortable. But over all, I loved it! The characters are bright and interesting, the story is compelling, and the romance is steamy! All you want in a novel!

Cheesy, but sweet and fluffy. The first half of the book was boring, but I really enjoyed the second half.
