I wish there had been more sapphic horror when I was a teen, because this was so fun. Finch and Selena fit perfectly together and I was obsessed with their relationship. The eldritch monster vibes also helped.

unexpectedly i really enjoyed this book. maybe i should look into reading more horror. there were times where i felt genuinely actually scared. it was a super fast read for me and i got pulled in really quickly. the story moved quick and i never got bored. did enjoy, would recommend.

I didn't enjoy this one nearly as much as This Delicious Death. It struggled to find the right balance between teen horror and something heavier. It tended to veer a little more toward supernatural horror in terms of plot, but the characters and their dialogue especially felt more teen novel, which would take me out of the story and the mood.

Maybe like 2.75? Idk I just didn’t care. It was fun enough ig and I liked the idea of the monster, but there were so many characters that I could not remember for the life of me no matter how many times they were mentioned. It was like cute to have on in the background while I was doing other things but I was not invested at all.
Yaaaaaaas. This book has the Stranger Things vibe and it sucked me in.
