I won't be writing a full review for this since this is the third book in the series, but I will say I really enjoyed it. This series was overall such a fun read with great tropes, tons of funny references, demons and angels and a hot romance. Jennifer never disappoints. Hail Satan.

Gargoyle romance - paranormal authors are really stretching it! The dialogue is immature and annoying after three books, but it was fun.

I think after reading 4 of her series, I definitely am a fan. These are just so much fun. Now I need to choose which books are next!

I have read a lot of Jennifer Armentrout books and one complaint I have of a lot of them is that her characters don't at all talk like young adults. It's like she hasn't been around young adults since the 90's or something. No one uses the phrases "banana pants" or "dork" (this bothered me so much that I asked them and they looked at me with utter confusion). I remember the first part of this series, Lalya would say "crap on a cracker" and I was so annoyed. If a character is supposed to be strong and a fighter, her language is not going to sound like she came from an 80's sitcom.

A lot bothers me about Trinity. A lot. First, she has a degenerative vision disorder, which means that especially while fighting, she would need to rely on her other senses (like hearing), but she doesn't shut up during fighting scenes. She constantly taunts demons (for not knowing what Instagram is....um...really? You think someone is dumb because they are not of this world and don't get your ridiculous pop culture references? News flash as well...teenagers call it "Insta"). But the point is, she is talking thus she is impairing her ability to hear since she just runs her mouth constantly and it is pretty impossible to talk and listen at the same time. This really bothered me. Who fights for their life and talks about Instagram at the same time? That is so not even realistic.

As other reviewers have commented on the "lovey dovey" aspect of the book and yes, this also bothered me. No one is perfect. No relationship is perfect. The fact that literally 300 pages were dedicated to Zayne's perfection was just really boring.

Overall, I feel like she starts off series really well, but they end horribly. It's like she runs out of steam and doesn't know where to go. The only exception is The Covenant.

I don't normally love urban fantasy, but I really have a soft spot for Armentrout. I thought the character development and suspense was very good. I also laughed a lot, which is a bonus.
