And we’ve come to the end of another series. Though I’m not entirely sure it’s the end, seeing how somethings were kind of left open for JLA to come back to this world and write another series. I have enjoyed reading this series but I still like The Dark Elements series more. Like I said in my review for Rage and Ruin The Dark Elements felt much more original than this one did. I feel like this started out original and then it took a different turn and become Supernatural. Which I find funny as it’s mentioned a lot throughout the books especially this one. I think we should have picked up on that. My other issue with this series was our main character Trinity. She did grow on me but she was still very much a brat. Zayne was his adorable self till he became a Fallen and changed. I felt like he became possessive and more horny than when he was Warden. It felt weird seeing him saying that he would kill someone cause they called Trinity a name. The Zayne from the pervious books would not have done that even when he was bonded to Trinity as her protector. It felt off and made me sad. This book much like Every Last Breathe was a little lackluster when it came to the final battle. To me much of the focus for a good chunck of the book was finding Zayne and trying to turn him back to his old self as he was a murdering angel. I kind of wish it would have happened a lot quicker than it did and then focused more on the fight with Gabriel which was the main purpose of this series. But the battle was like a chapter and then it was over. It felt almost deus ex machina which in a way I guess it was as God did help them when Gabriel died and then Michael helped both Trinity and Zayne to be together. I always feel that using a deus ex machina is kind of a cop out. Like the only way everything will turn out good for everyone is if there is divine intervention. I understand that for a story like this it makes sense but I was kind of hoping Gabriel would have lived and Lucifer would have just taken him to hell or he was imprisoned in heaven. In the end it was still a fun read and there is some possibility for more books though I do hope Trinity is not the narrator. Even though she grew on me she was still a pain. I had fun with this just like it’s sister series, I also loved how the titles were referenced in the books

I’m genuinely sad I finished this series. It was shockingly very good and kept me interested. I really enjoyed the apocalyptic storyline and characters. I also think the author did a good job at inclusivity throughout this series with the main character coming to terms with her disability. I thought the author also did a good job with the comedic relief that was laced throughout the series.

What an ending to this story.
I honestly was expecting a bit more out of the last battle but that ending??? It was perfect.
Hopefully we get more Trin and Zayne content in the future <3

It lost its way in the middle a bit with not much story progression, but overall a really fun time and great end to the trilogy.
ahhhh
i honestly loved the series but certain things kept
me from giving 5 stars.
the second book was SO GOOD i finished it in a day easy.
i had a lot of expectations for this one and maybe that’s my bad but ugh
i can’t believe it took so long for trinity to find zayne and bring him back and i felt like everything else was so anticlimactic?
overall i was happy with the ending but i expected the battle to be more intense
and not to be like 5 pages almost at the very end
just seemed so rushed because we spent most of the book on bs
I love all the side characters almost more than i liked trinity
and zayne is the new love of my life right now
trinity grew a lot and that made reading this book so much easier but still idk
i wish we could get books from zaynes perspective that would make me so happy
but yeah overall enjoyed it a lot and i’m sad it’s over

Jennifer KNOWS how to end a trilogy, and I did not miss that little niblet that left the door open for one day. Also, I just need to mention how much I adored her sassy, TV-loving portrayal of The Boss! I miss Zayne and Trin already!
if we pretend that I read this book as quickly as I do other books and didn't read three books while i was still reading this, it would have been pretty good, the ending was nice and the reveal with peanut at the end was hilarious but very sweet
real bible thumping shit but still p good despite all that
wicked twist on peanut tho
