Fun ending to an action packed story. The use of Supernatural references is quite a bit and made it more fun for me since I love the show but if you have never watched it may be a little out of the loop. It is made for the time it was written and younger audiences may not relate well to the characters. The story is cute brings me back to my high school reads and has great tension and play with the romance!

In the tons of reviews for this book, I write this one more for myself.

Storm and Fury came out in 2019. I had just finished community college.

Two years later, Grace and Glory drops. Two years later, and now I have just graduated from college with a bachelor's degree.

I have changed so much over the past two years, but reading the finale, I want to take a moment to celebrate how books can be part of our lives, some fleeting moments and others longer.

As someone who read the Dark Elements series from its inception ( y'all remember when JLA ran a vote for fans to choose who Layla should end up with—yes, I aggressively voted for Roth) some of these characters have been part of my life for longer than two years.

Grace and Glory has, not faults in my eyes, but some redundancies (and I believe I said this in a review for Rage and Ruin).

It takes some elements from JLA's earlier Covenant series. Pregnancy scare (Alex and Aiden experienced that in the final book of the Covenant series, if I recall correctly), bringing a big bad guy up to Earth to help fight the villain (swap Lucifer for the Titan Alex and Aiden brought to fight Ares, or in this case, Gabriel), and in terms of personalities, Zayne's protectiveness mixed with an inherent goodness is reminiscent of Aiden (although I think Zayne really shines and stands on his own, above Aiden).

You're also going to encounter a ton of cheesy quips before fights, pop culture references and some teen dialogue that feels better suited to the era when every YA author would make their character drop a reference to Twilight.

But damn if it doesn't feel like coming home.

JLA's books have become like a bit of a safe space for me, and even when Grace and Glory doesn't always live up to all that it can be (a bit of a rushed climax, finale and some missed opportunities), it doesn't hurt the way one might imagine considering I've been following this series for some years now.

That's because JLA ALWAYS delivers on happy endings and stable futures for our couples and their friends. And for a girl who has changed so much over the years, who is now a college graduate trying to figure out life post grad, I'm happy to soak up the warmth, HEAs and occasional cringe and cheesiness that comes with Grace and Glory, and JLA's books in general (okay, if you read the Blood and Ash series, a little less warmth there).

Thanks to anyone who read this and allowed me to indulge a bit. My final thoughts: love Zayne and Trinity, love Roth and Layla, and I can't wait to see what comes next.

I feel kinda weird about liking Peanut now, but still, he's everything. Even he's a bit older, than I thought. I think Lucifer took first place in this book, sorry Peanut. But he was just so fucking amazing, and kinda a dork. I sweet, dork that can kill you---

"A wee little Trueborn cares about the safety of a demon. The world is surely going to end."
JLA is so right when she says it's bittersweet to end a series. Trinity will always hold a special place in my great because of her RP (retinitis pigmentosa). Not many characters let alone PROTAGONISTS deals with hereditary diseases. I have only read a few. A curse so dark and lonely is another one heads up! There were surprises all through the out and the ending biggest of all and I can't wait to see what she's writes next! I have hope it's a spin off.

Also, is she a distant relative to poppy?
"But not using my grace right now was okay. I was more than happy to get stabby."
