THEY WERE SO CUTE!!
lil fam in the woods with their dog and cat 💚
THE WHOLE OF CH22 WAS FUNNY ASF, I WAS ROLLING,
the running "And he's fucking flying.", THE PANIC YELLING, THE SOUP FIASCO, THE RINGS, twas a good laugh.

I DESPERATELY NEEDED REACTIONS FROM THE FAM THAT THEY WERE MARRIED THOUGH 😭 (edit: i love how in the next book you find out he waited a month to write it down to tell them, how he normally does, i found that really sweet) AND ON WHAT AXEL DID FOR THEM
"I want every day, cramming as many lifetimes as possible into the one we’ve been given."

I definitely love this series. But I was honestly hoping axel was just axel and not another person on the spectrum after Frankie. But I do love how well Rooney and him communicate and find what works for them. This author does realistic romance so well you can’t help but keep reading. The second book is still my favorite for now but I feel like everyone will have a different book depending on what they’re dealing with and their romance style. I love the dog and kitten addition and the family meddling for sure ❀ Very interested in Ollie’s story now! On to the next book!

How does this author give me all the feels all the time? Now, I haven’t read anything other than this series, but I have a feeling I won’t be disappointed when I do.

Watching Rooney and Axel throughout the series so far has been interesting. Because of Rooney’s relationship with Willa in Only When It’s Us, I felt like I knew her a bit more than Axel. While Axel is one of the Bergman brothers, he doesn’t live in L.A. and he’s very quiet. Being able to see things from his POV in this story is a treat. With the big, warm, loving family Axel comes from he still has his insecurities.

Just like everyone in the Bergman family and their significant others, it has been obvious to me from the time they first met that Axel and Rooney would be good for each other. From the outside it seems like it would be an opposites attract, yin/yang type of thing. And in some aspects it is, they fill in the nooks and crannies of each other. Yet they are so much more alike than they even realize.

Of course, I love a marriage of convenience story. It was interesting that this marriage had to be kept secret from their families though. Which added an element of humor to this book that I didn’t expect with this particular pair. On top of that, Axel was much more romantic than I expected and Rooney wasn’t at all the abrasive person I assumed her to be. I knew she had a heart of gold, but didn’t know how utterly tender and thoughtful she could be.

I feel this story could be read as a standalone, but I also think you will miss a lot of the depth if you do that. All of the books in this series are amazing and I urge you to read them all from the beginning. Getting to know the Bergman family will help, in my opinion, you to understand the motivations of the characters in this story much better.

At this point, I will read anything put in front of me by this author without having to know what the story is even about. She always pulls me in right from the start and keeps me wrapped in warm fuzzy feelings throughout.

Axel and Rooney had such a tender and vulnerable love story. đŸ„ș I want to marry into the Bergman family too!😭😭
