I’m not a huge contemporary fiction reader, but this book was great. I loved the Irish narrator and it made this book so digestible. Im also a lover of Ireland and the uk so that was just a bonus that the book took place in these countries. The character Racheal was easily relatable , she could be any 20 year old just trying to get through life. And the Racheal incident had me thinking hard of the table scene in “why did we get married”, but like a very tame version of it. Overall this was just an easy read and a good palate cleanser.

I really enjoyed that, unexpected and somehow endearing.
