Racism, murder, grief - this book was hard to read, but it was worth it. I don't feel like I can write much without spoiling the plot. So, I will leave it as this: Cosby gives a strong voice to some of the most hateful things that plague the history of our country, and some of the most difficult parts of humanity. And, he does it the form of a fast paced, crime thriller. Bravo! Trigger warning: there are themes of child abuse and torture - very hard to stomach at times.

DID NOT FINISH

DNF because there’s mention of child abuse and I hate reading about that.

SO. GOOD. Fast paced and had me at the edge of my seat the entire time. My favorite S.A. Cosby book so far!

Dark and thrilling. I had a harder time focusing on reading this month, but overall I still enjoyed this.

4.5 - great story, great writing. Reminded me of Season 1 True Detective. I will definitely be reading more of his books.
