Cute book - a story of progression and determination!
A great message to children, but I did find that the language was slightly too difficult for the target audience..

Lovely illustrations though!

A little girl starts with a wonderful idea for a magnificent thing, so she sets to work. But turning her thoughts into a thing isn't as easy as she thought it was going to be.

I enjoyed this a lot, I liked the message and I love how it showed her getting frustrated when things didn't match up with what she thought. The pictures are okay, not my favorite but the story is nice and has a good lesson.

I love this book because the girl is creative and inventive and gets frustrated! We've all been there - when something you have an idea for just doesn't work. I think so many kids will relate to this picture book!

I really enjoyed The Most Magnificent Thing and so did my daughter! I love books that inspire creativity in children, especially females as it seems books and toys of the that nature are a bit lacking, but thankfully on the rise! This is definitely a book that I would add to my collection of children's books for my two little girls and I think it's another step in the right direction of teaching girls that they too can be creative and inventive. I also really enjoyed the fact that when she became upset, as kids are often known to do, the solution in the book was for her to walk it off. I love when children are taught, through literature and entertainment, different ways to cool themselves down and handle tough situations.

What can I say about this book? This is cute. This is a fun little read. This is a smart little girl.

The basic story is that the little girl wants to build a magnificent thing. We do not know what the magnificent thing is and either does she. It is a matter of she'll know it when she sees it. Here is a picture of her working away.

She gets frustrated, because nothing is quite right. She takes a walk to calm down, and realizes that though many things are not quite right with each invention, all together, the good bits will work, and so she makes her magnificent thing.

Great picture book for little girls and boys. Great picture book to teach that you can make anything you think you can, with determination. :)

Thank you to NetGalley for making this book available for an honest review.

First of all, I want to thank the publisher for granting wish to access this book via Netgalley.

I love the stories and also the illustrations, but the font is bothered me, especially since I read the digital edition.

Overall, it is enjoyable and a good book to read to your kids. They may learn that they can be wrong, they can be mad, but they should never give up.

This was a great book that I will be using with my class to learn about the growth mindset.

What a lovely little story about a little girl who wants to build an unnamed magnificent thing, and whose perfectionism gets in the way! I read it with my four year old and we had a good chat about regulating your feelings, cooling down when you’re just too mad to focus, and enjoying learning from mistakes! I love that there is a lesson in appreciating things even if they aren’t perfect, who doesn’t need a reminder of that? The illustrations were fun, the storyline was a great discussion tool, and overall, it was a great read! Thanks netgalley for the ARC, opinions are my own.

This is a great picture book to talk about having a growth mindset and perseverance and failure.
