While the story takes a bit of time to get rolling, it's a fun fantasy mystery that builds up some enjoyable lore and has a delightful cast of characters that are fun to get to know. After finishing it, it definitely feels like there's a lot more in this world still to explore! Breezed through this, was an easy, flowing read.

I liked the premise of this book, it kept a good pace and I enjoyed the character interactions but unfortunately the universe didn’t offer anything particularly original, the character development was lacking and I couldn’t look past the cliche one liners
