OH MY GRAVY! I WAS SO STRESSED WHILE READING! Ngl I did look up some spoilers because the suspense was too much like was she gonna tell? But I got my answers. As a writer I will definitely be taking some notes on writing style, this is one of the best written books I've ever read would love to rate higher than 5. 100% recommend.

I’ve never truly felt the feelings that have flown through my body like I have when I read this book. It’s heart wrenching to the point I felt it in my gut, it can truly be said that this book was life changing in every sense of the words. Eden’s story and following along with it broke me to pieces and made me gee like I myself could have a voice.

This is one of those instances where I truly and wholeheartedly believe five stars does not do this book justice.The book genuily hurts to read The Way I Used to Be is a story about trauma and life after it. Eden is raped by her brother's long time best friend after he sneaks into her bedroom one night. the author to force reader's inside Eden's head during every single second of the few minutes that would change her life forever.Eden's story then goes on to follow her downward spiral from freshmen to senior year.She starts off with her usual friends, meets a boy and bases their entire relationship on lies to guard herself, and by senior year is completely self destructive to escape the trauma she still has told no one about.
