Gosh, this was a hard one to read. Maybe even harder to review.
It’s such an important book about

rape

and all its possible consequences. It’s so raw. So real. So painful.
I was going to write that this was a lengthy book? That… not a lot happened? But at the same time… SO MUCH happened. And it was really hard to read to be honest.

Being believed. Having a story that you don’t want to share (for whatever reason). Completely changing as a person because of it. Putting blame on yourself… All of it.
The ending was so lovely though and I feel relieved about that.

I can’t wait to read The Way I Am Now. Onto healing. 🤍

Make sure you read the description for any trigger warnings. I loved the relationship between Josh and edy and I’m excited to read the sequel and see how there relationship develops.

A very cathartic novel. I teared up more than a couple times while reading this. I feel for the main character, of course, but I have to admit that her self-destructive behavior pissed me off a bit a few times in the book. But I absolutely 100% recommend this book.
