Got to 67%. I enjoyed what I read, and stopped when it was becoming a chore. I leave the book with good memories of it.

In sostanza: bellissimo, ambizioso, complesso. Capolavoro? Secondo me sì.

There are books whose authors are able to foresee the near future. In a time when we hear from many sides that it is hard to figure out what’s going to happen tomorrow, this trilogy written 25 years ago by Kim Stanley Robinson is a beam in the darkness. Precise, plausible, hyper-detailed, it is a slow narration that makes you feel there, in the red planet, among the terraformers. However it is not excitement the feeling characterising this process, but a deep interrogation about the limits of our action - even in political terms - and the delicate balances that allow life to exist. A masterpiece, one of those rare books where a writer is able to make the landscape live, turning its sheer presence into a cinematic experience.

Left me thinking of asteroid mining and the practical implications of space travel and resource extraction from space.
Also, why so much Sci Fi rom Hollywood did not feature
Space elevators. I did a bit of research, was shocked to find material sciences were slowly making a real life space elevator more realistic. Science fiction often literally becoming a reality and the future. Look forward to starting on Green mars. This was my first read through. took a huge break on it for some reason instead of going straight through.

This one definitely deserved the awards it won.
