Ho hum, this is pretty much the same character and tropes as The Silent Patient. This style of storytelling is getting really belabored and overdone.

This book was WILD! Every book I read from this author keeps getting better and better. Didn’t see the end plot coming, but then again when do I. Would definitely read again!!

So many thoughts on this book.
This was the first time I read something int he POV of the villain. It made for a very interesting read. Before I even knew he was the villain tho I knew something was up. The fact that it was written in his POV but he somehow "knew" what everyone was feeling and thinking... Yeah sign of a narcissist.
I do think this was dragged on a bit. The one this I hate is when I'm reading a story and it comes to an end and then the author is like jk this was all a lie, this was actually what happened. Now imagine how i felt after reading the same story basically five times!
The silent patient was such a good book, so I had high hopes for this one. It missed the mark a bit. It just dragged on for way too long and i think the POV/tenses it was written in made it a little confusing to keep up with what was real and what was in Elliot's head.

I kept seeing this book mentioned and with high ratings but I really didn't care for it. All the characters, especially the narrator, were just awful people. I thought about DNFing it multiple times but just sped it up to 2.20x speed on audiobook to finish faster.
