As always Alex Michaelides is the master of twists turns and audible gasps from his readers! I loved this. Read it all too quick. And I’ll definitely listen to the audiobook soon.
I can't do this book. The writing style is just not something I can do. I love his Silent Patient, but I just couldn't get into this book.

Another chapter 1 hooker! The narrator speaks directly to the reader which made it feel like I was part of the story. That unusual style pulled me in immediately.
This was my first book by Alex Michaelides, and I really enjoyed it. There were twists and turns throughout—some of which I didn’t see coming. The way the story unfolded—paired with that eerie, cut-off island vibe—totally amped up the suspense. I enjoyed the shifting dynamics between characters and the slow unraveling of secrets.
By the end, there was a surprise connection to one of his other books, which now I have to go read. It’s a clever, psychological mystery that kept me engaged from start to finish.
