I love michaelides' writing and character development. I'd love to see him write a non-thriller fiction. The "twists and turns" at the end are what kept me from rating this five stars! But I could've read 200 more pages about these characters and their thoughts/feelings.

Guessed part of it from the beginning, narrator was dry as hell, didn’t like the first person POV. It felt like the author was trying too hard to be cool, and I loved silent patient so this one felt bad.
Listening to this ended up feeling more like a chore than listening to a book I actually enjoyed. I was really hopeful after The Silent Patient, but this didn’t grip me or keep me entertained.
REALLY enjoyed the completely unreliable narrator. Can't say I saw the plot coming. Some of the characters felt a little flat but overall quite enjoyed this read.
