This is an entertaining, fun read. Eli and Aria are interesting, relatable, intriguing, strong, wounded, complex, entertaining characters. I enjoyed their romance and the path it took to get to their HEA. The secondary characters – especially Teri – added to the fabric of the story and my enjoyment. The story is easy to read and get into.

Predictable romance

This is a perfectly good book, no real faults. It just didn't grab me. Not my thing, it could well be yours.

The characters gave me whiplash. Aria wanted to be with Eli, then she didn't, and literally flip-flopped about it at least 3 times. Eli's internal monologue mentioned his aversion to parenthood SEVERAL times, but then just easily accepts that Aria is pregnant. Okay... The characters and the writing were just boring.

Unfortunately I only made it halfway through this book before I decided to stop, which hasn't happened in a while.

Aria is a newsreporter looking for some good stories in her small town in order to get the new reporter job at the local newspaper outlet. And she finds a big scoop from a townie that a big company plans on building big complexes in their small town to take advantage of the tourism they receive.

Eli Lockwood is the CEO of the big company with the intent of coming into Arias town. But when a persistent reporter keeps causing trouble for him to start building, he comes himself to try to settle things.

It honestly all has a great premise, but I just personally didn't feel that Aria and Eli had great chemistry. They felt forced to me.

Again. This book had other great aspects surrounding their relationship however, I decided to stop when the two main characters didn't feel to fit well

2.5 stars.
It was okay. As someone from NZ I wanted to love this book but the writing held me back.
I can see why some will love this. It’s predictable and comfortable, a quick read.
My favourite part is the use of Reo Māori (Māori language). Some macrons (lines above vowels) seemed to be missing but I’m hoping that’s due to the software

Another great Little Sky romance.

I enjoyed reading Eli and Aria's story. Having had an introduction to Aria in 'Midnight Kisses', I was excited to see what would become of her... and I was happily surprised along the way.

Alexa Rivers has an engaging writing style which keeps you interested from chapter one through to the very end. I'm looking forward to Cooper's story!

This book really caught my attention, I love Small town romance, with the added enemies to lovers trope. A journalist is doing a series of articles on a new development and gets on the bad side of the developer. Aria had protective brothers and rarely dated until she meet Elijah and tries to stay away from him.
I loved Aria’s relationship with her brothers and how they stood up for her. This book was an excellent read.
