Oof, this book didn't work for me but I totally understand how it works for others. I have C-PTSD, and some of Stephanie Foo's childhood experiences disturbingly mirror my own. However, while I deeply respect her healing journey, I just don't resonate with her personally.

Foo's narrative is a testament to her strength and resilience, as she recounts her path to healing with unwavering honesty. Her journey is marked by a tenacious spirit that many readers, especially those familiar with trauma, will find admirable and empowering. It's evident that her intention is to share her healing process and offer a sense of camaraderie to those who've walked similar paths.

What My Bones Know serves as a poignant reminder that trauma is deeply personal, and its effects are far-reaching and diverse and while I didn't fully resonate with Foo and her ambitious nature, I appreciate the courage it takes to share such a personal journey and the spotlight she shines on effective therapeutic techniques.
