I really enjoyed reading this book because it was a way to show how the most unlikely of methods could help you to have a better outlook on life. This book was emotional, but has at least one thing throughout all of the stories that I think any reader could relate to. This was a pretty quick read and each story left me feeling inspired. It was a good feel good book.

The only thing that felt off for me was how a lot of the characters talked about the librarian. The way they talked or thought about her was kind of gross, especially when she basically helped them turn their lives around.

Wholesome, feel-good short stories with interwoven characters. Wildly unnecessary details about the librarian’s size.

Such a lovely comfort read about finding your place in society. I appreciated that a lot of the book was about the characters finding joy/balance/belonging in their work. I've recently gone through a mid 20s career crisis, so this book felt like an encouraging pat on the shoulder from someone you trust.

The audio book is a mixed bag, some of the narrators are great and some are a little weird.

Would have given it 4 starts, had it not been for the recurrent fatphobia; it was weird and unnecessary, going through the trouble of describing the librarian's overweight body nearly in every POV.
Other than that, the stories are quite heartwarming.
