This wasn't necessarily bad, but it was for sure a slow burn. The story took forever to get anywhere, nearly half the book passed before there was any real plot. After that it picked up and was fantastic, I will eagerly await future volumes, hopefully the beginning of this was just character intro and the future volumes will be better

3.5 stars - pretty good start to a new series. I am not super familiar with Iron Heart but I would read more.

This is the second time I've read this book, but for some reason didn't review it the first time, a few years back. I'm re-reading it for my women's comic book club monthly discussion. I love the character, but have to give it a lower rating because almost every single step of the plot was suuuuper predictable and unoriginal. My favorite parts were the casual conversations between Riri and Xavier.

Riri is such a great character, I cannot wait to continue this series. The appearance of Miles Morales in the final issue of this volume was extremely welcome!

Eh not for me. But happy to see the next iteration of Ironman. I loved the diversity and cool characters. Also happy to see Miles.
