mysterious
slow-paced
A house manager comes to her, through the manager's sister who works at the hotel, to investigate the death of the butler. It's a bit too standard but not bad. Also, the personal lives aren't really moving much.

I really enjoyed this one. I love how the relationship between Ms. Fox and Me. Armitage has developed along with the opinions of those around them. You can see it falling into place in a fitting way rather than being rushed. It feels very natural, very well done!

Thought I figured it out but I was wrong. Cleo drove me a little crazy at times with her feelings for Harry but otherwise, another good Cleopatra Fox mystery.

Love this series, but this particular story overused the “about to be caught in the act” trope too much. How many rooms can Cleo make it out of? She’s clearly not good at sneaking around.
I do hope she and Harry find a way to be together.
