Since Joe Biden has now signed off on genocide, I hated hearing his words in the foreword but I fully recognize how powerful it is to have the POTUS write a foreword in your book & his support for Sarah was important!

Besides this, I found Sarah’s story to be quite powerful, moving, and beautiful. Sarah recognizes the privileges she had growing up, but gosh, does she use her platform and position to uplift and advocate for the trans community 👏🏽🙌🏽🫶🏽

Reading about her partnership with Andy was especially poignant, because you could deeply feel the love and care she felt towards him, their work, and their relationship. I am so grateful to Sarah for so graciously sharing these precious moments with us, and I’m grateful to Andy for his own work and advocacy. He absolutely touched so many lives🤎

I highly recommend this - I listened to the audiobook on Libby & loved Sarah’s narration. Trans voices need to be heard, and I am so moved by Sarah’s story & her continued work.

Sarah McBride has lived more life in (at the time) 25 years than most people do in eighty. My heart broke when she wrote about her short time with her husband Andy, and it was invigorating to hear her talk about how important it is to keep fighting for equality for marginalized groups, no matter how tough the fight. She is incredibly cognizant of her privilege even while fighting for trans rights, and she truly works to bring all discriminated groups into the equality conversation. I'm so happy she has made history as the first transgender state senator.

This was an incredibly moving book. I cried more than once. Sarah McBride is a brave trailblazer and a powerful leader. She will be an amazing Congresswoman.

So incredible to find yourself, your voice and take the national stage by age 25. So proud of Sarah.
