3.5 stars. Dragged on but a good ending. Wasn’t as good as the first two in the series. Most likely setting up for future story arcs :)

Wow! Really that is how I feel about this book.  I am growing to really like Sanderson's work in this series.  The turns, twist, flips, and shocks in this installment of The Stormlight Archives was a thrill ride.  Now that being said, this story is a slower paced plot with many facets, storylines, and characters.  The world continues to expand, characters continue to grow independently and as a result the plot advances the story.  Sanderson is a master of his craft and this installment is my favorite book of his so far.

To anyone wondering... this book is REALLY good. Like, "I'm waking up at 6 AM during fall break to read this book!" good. The ending is so beautiful, the climax is amazing, there's so much going on all the time and it's just a really beautiful story. Definitely dark, but it always has such an amazing theme that you don't see every day. These characters are all just amazing, there are so many things I want to say but I'll keep them to myself for now and save them for... a later date lol. But yeah, so much to take in, what with all that's happening, especially toward the end. I'm not gonna go into theories since I can't think of any, but seriously, this book takes Stormlight to the next level, as I've come to expect. A truly wonderful story, perhaps not for the faint of heart (totally clean but dark at times), but these characters just jump right off the page. Again, I have the urge to just go on and on about Renarin and Rysn and Wit and Szeth and Adolin/Shallan as opposed to Kaladin/Shallan (I don't even know how to feel about that, it does get fully resolved in this book so that's a relief), and Moash and Venli and Eshonai and Jezrien and Lift and Rock and a hundred more. But then we'd be here for hours and I'm very tired, so I will see you after I read Book Four. I'll just leave the speculation to the professionals and wish you all a Stormlight-filled day. Or month, considering the length. Insert profound or incredibly hilarious quote from the book here.
